In Flow Institute
Back to a stable everyday life after concussion.
In Flow Institute is a health-tech start-up for people with persistent post-concussion symptoms who want a clear direction and a structured path forward.
The team starts with an assessment and shows you the next step. For some that's a structured 8-week program; for others it requires a more individual approach. Either way, you get clarity.
The team has been through the journey themselves and built the program they wished had existed when they were recovering.
The In Flow Method
The In Flow method is built on a simple principle: a nervous system stuck on high alert needs to be rebalanced — not just rested. We work with two movements: Action and Activation, followed by deliberate down-regulation. Together they teach the nervous system that it is safe to come back online.
Action and Activation: short, controlled bouts of movement — for example 20 seconds of running or brisk walking — that gently challenge the system and signal that the body can handle effort again. Repeated in small doses, this is how we desensitize the alarm response that keeps post-concussion symptoms alive.
Down-regulation: each activation is followed by exercises that bring the nervous system back into calm — slow, intentional movements, breath work, and pressure on specific safety points on the body that activate the system's own healing response. Over time, the gap between activation and calm becomes a trained skill.
The result is not a quick fix. It is a retrained nervous system — one that knows how to ramp up when life requires it and how to settle when it doesn't. That is what we mean by being back in flow.

There is a Facebook group for people working with the method and supporting each other through recovery: Hjernerystelse in Flow on Facebook.
